Frequently asked questions
This page collects answers to the questions people ask most often about using StitchPress. If your question is not here, the rest of the Getting Started section and the editor manuals cover the tools in more depth.
Do I need to install anything?
Section titled “Do I need to install anything?”No. StitchPress runs entirely in your web browser at editor.stitchpress.kinnet.studio. There is nothing to download or install — just open the site.
Which browsers are supported?
Section titled “Which browsers are supported?”StitchPress is a browser-based app, and the editors draw on a canvas, so it works best in an up-to-date desktop browser — recent versions of Chrome, Edge, Firefox, or Safari. If something looks wrong, updating your browser to the latest version is a good first step.
Is StitchPress free?
Section titled “Is StitchPress free?”Creating an account and using the editors is free. StitchPress is currently invite-only — if you do not have an account yet, join the waitlist from the sign-in page and you will be emailed when a spot opens up.
How is my work saved?
Section titled “How is my work saved?”When you are signed in, your diagrams and patterns are saved to your account and synced automatically as you work — there is no manual “upload” step. A save indicator next to the project name shows the current status. If you go offline, crochet and knit diagrams keep saving on your device (Offline — saved on this device) and sync once you reconnect. Sign in on another device and your projects are there too.
Work you make in the try editors without an account stays in that browser until you sign in and it is added to your account. See Trying StitchPress without an account.
Can I have the same diagram open in two places?
Section titled “Can I have the same diagram open in two places?”Yes. A crochet diagram or knit chart open in two browser tabs, or on two of your devices, stays in sync — changes you make in one appear in the other. Patterns are meant to be edited in one place at a time; if a pattern changes elsewhere while you have it open, StitchPress asks you to reload.
Can I try StitchPress before signing up?
Section titled “Can I try StitchPress before signing up?”Sometimes. StitchPress has anonymous “try” editors that let you draw without an account, though this is a launch-gated feature that may not be available to every visitor yet. See Trying StitchPress without an account for how it works.
What languages is StitchPress available in?
Section titled “What languages is StitchPress available in?”The interface is available in English, 繁體中文 (Traditional Chinese), and 日本語 (Japanese). You can switch under Settings → Appearance → Language. See Accounts and signing in.
Is there a dark mode?
Section titled “Is there a dark mode?”Yes. Open Settings → Appearance and choose Dark (or System to follow your device) under Theme. The canvas keeps its own background color, which you can change from the gear menu in each editor under Canvas background. See Settings and preferences.
Can I use StitchPress with an AI assistant?
Section titled “Can I use StitchPress with an AI assistant?”Yes. You can connect claude.ai (including the Claude desktop app) or ChatGPT to your account and ask it to build and edit your crochet diagrams and knit charts. See Connecting your AI.
Can I share my patterns with other people?
Section titled “Can I share my patterns with other people?”You can share crochet diagrams and knit charts with a view-only link, or invite specific people by email, from the Share dialog. See Sharing your diagrams. Patterns from the pattern editor cannot be shared with a link — export them as a PDF to send them instead.
How do I delete a diagram or pattern?
Section titled “How do I delete a diagram or pattern?”Open the actions (⋯) menu on a project’s card in Your workspace and choose Delete. StitchPress asks you to confirm, because deleting a project is permanent.
How do I delete my account?
Section titled “How do I delete my account?”Account details are managed under Settings → Account → Manage account, which opens your profile. If you would like your account and its data removed entirely, use the account management options there, or email the StitchPress team at support@kinnet.studio and we will help. Your synced work is deleted along with your account.
How do I report a bug or share feedback?
Section titled “How do I report a bug or share feedback?”Open the menu (☰) in the top-left corner and choose Send feedback. It opens a short form where you can describe the problem or idea. It helps to mention what you were doing when the problem happened.
How do I find out what has changed?
Section titled “How do I find out what has changed?”Open the menu (☰) and choose What’s new to see recent improvements. A dot on the menu button means there are notes you have not read yet.
Can I use the patterns I make commercially?
Section titled “Can I use the patterns I make commercially?”The diagrams and patterns you create are your own work. StitchPress does not set out separate commercial-use terms inside the app, so if you are planning to sell patterns you have made and want to be certain about the terms, please get in touch with the StitchPress team first.
